May Learner of the Month

Bonnie’s dedication to learning and community engagement shines through in so many ways. She first began attending programs with her eldest grandchild before the pandemic, and now she joins us each week with her youngest grandchild, continuing her journey with two weekly programs.

Bonnie’s warm encouragement of fellow parents, grandparents, and caregivers, along with her commitment to fostering meaningful connections, makes a lasting impact. She thoughtfully ensures that her grandchildren have opportunities to engage with residents in senior facilities, and she goes out of her way to invite others to join programs and community events.

Her positive role modelling extends well beyond the program space. At home, Bonnie continues learning through songs, reading, and weaving literacy into their everyday adventures. Her efforts not only support her grandchildren in actively participating in songs and activities, but enrich the experience for everyone involved.

We’re so grateful to have Bonnie as part of our CFL Family - congratulations on being our Learner of the Month!

National Indigenous History Month

June is National Indigenous History Month in Canada - a time to recognize and celebrate the rich histories, cultures, and contributions of First Nations, Inuit, and Métis Peoples. It's an opportunity to reflect on their deep connection to this land, honour their stories and achievements, and acknowledge their enduring presence and influence in shaping Canada.
