June marks National Indigenous History Month in Canada, an opportunity to explore and appreciate the rich cultures, traditions, and experiences of the First Nations, Inuit, and Métis peoples. This month is dedicated to celebrating the stories, achievements, and resilience of Indigenous Peoples, whose presence has profoundly shaped Canada's history and continues to influence its future.

We invite you to learn more about First Nations, Inuit, and Métis, as well as our collective past. Please click on the button below for more information and learning resources.

Join us for Summertime Story Time, an intergenerational program that includes fun activities, books, songs, and a snack with social time at the end. Explore new themes each week like bugs, music, bubbles, dinosaurs, and more! This program will be held indoors and outdoors, depending on the weather conditions.

Dates: Wednesdays, July 10, 17, 24, and 31
Time: 10:00 - 11:00 am

Registration opens on June 17 at 9:00 am.

Named after the Honourable Dr. Lois Hole, a passionate advocate for literacy in Alberta, these awards recognize outstanding contributions to literacy by individuals, families, organizations, or businesses. This year, we had the honour of being joined by Lois Hole’s son, Jim Hole, who presented the awards to the winners. Join us in celebrating the remarkable achievements of this year’s winners.
